It is sad to see the centre of debate is not extending beyond the myopic perceptions of rigging, who won and who lost. In fact, holding free and fair elections and genuine transition to democracy is greatest achievement of President Musharraf and the whole nation.
President Musharraf has kept his promise of conducting the polls in free, fair and peaceful manner. He needs to be complimented on this achievement. It is time for political reconciliation and all parties should come together to form a democratic, stable and peaceful Pakistan.
The people of Pakistan have spoken and their voices must be unconditionally respected. Now it is time for new parliment to work and join hands with President Musharraf for national interest.
